About Behsaba
Behsaba is a long-established Iranian food brand specialising in fruit preserves, breakfast products and condiments, with manufacturing operations dating back to 1979 in Mashhad. The business was established through private investment and initially developed around products such as jams, compotes, syrups and tomato-based products. As production capabilities expanded, the Behsaba portfolio grew into a broader range of processed foods.
Jam remains one of the most recognisable parts of the Behsaba portfolio, with carrot, sour cherry, fig, quince and other fruit varieties offered across different pack formats. Over time, the wider range has also included honey, sauces and condiments, syrups, tomato products, lime juice, kashk, halva and compotes. Behsaba has additionally developed single-serving formats for products such as jam and honey, extending the brand beyond household retail into hotels, restaurants, cafés and institutional catering applications.
Manufacturing is centred at the company's industrial site on the Mashhad–Quchan corridor. Behsaba also has a documented history of international market activity, while branded jams and related products continue to appear through overseas retail channels. The combination of household packs, single-serving products and foodservice formats gives the brand a commercial structure that extends beyond conventional grocery retail.
From a manufacturing perspective, one of Behsaba's central challenges is standardising products whose sensory characteristics depend heavily on agricultural raw materials. Fruit variety, harvest season, natural sugar content, acidity, colour and texture can vary considerably between batches, while consumers expect a familiar experience each time they purchase a carrot, sour-cherry or fig preserve. Raw-material selection, fruit-to-sugar ratios, thermal processing, texture management and packaging therefore work together to translate naturally variable ingredients into a repeatable industrial product—an especially important capability for a brand whose identity has long been closely associated with jam and fruit processing.
