About Danette
Danette, known as Dent in Iran, is a dairy dessert brand with French origins. Launched in 1970, it is part of Danone’s global brand portfolio. The brand entered the Iranian market in 1386 on the Iranian calendar (2007–2008), initially through imported spoonable desserts, before expanding its locally produced range.
The range presented on the Iranian brand website includes puddings and other spoonable desserts, milk-based dessert drinks, panna cotta, crème caramel, and puddings with separate toppings. Flavours include chocolate, vanilla and fruit, alongside pistachio and saffron. These products are offered in both spoonable and drinkable formats.
In Iran, Danette products are manufactured and supplied by Danone Dairy Pars. The company introduced drinkable desserts to the local market in 1388 (2009–2010). Its production site is in Qazvin Province, while its head office is in Tehran. Consumer enquiries and business contacts are handled through the Iranian company’s published contact channels.
Ownership of Danone Dairy Pars was transferred to domestic private ownership in 2025. In its announcement, the company stated that operations and the Dent and Dent Pop brands would continue following the transfer. The global brand’s relationship with Danone should therefore be distinguished from the ownership of the company manufacturing and supplying its products in Iran.
