About Dombaz
Dombaz is an Iranian brand of dates and date-based foods produced by Khormabon Jonoub Corporation in Bandar Abbas. Founded in 1999 by Hassan Ghanaatian Jabzari, the company began by packing dates before expanding into processing. The introduction of liquid date sugar in November 2002 marked a step in this development, broadening its activities beyond packaged whole dates. The brand takes its name from a stage in the ripening of the date fruit, reflecting its origins in the date industry.
Whole dates and processed date products form the core of the Dombaz range. Its selection includes Piarom, Khasouei and Zahedi dates, Mazafati dates, and dates filled with nuts. The processed range includes date syrup, date nectar, date paste, date sauce and a chocolate date spread. Together, these products serve a variety of uses, from eating dates on their own to preparing breakfast dishes, baked goods and other foods.
The wider range includes grape syrup, mulberry syrup, three- and four-syrup blends, and sesame tahini. Dombaz also offers gift assortments and nut-filled dates, including Piarom dates with walnuts and almonds, alongside its Pang, Tarouneh and Legareh gift sets. Alongside its consumer range, available through its Bandar Abbas stores and online shop, Dombaz supplies date ingredients for food manufacturing. Date paste, for example, is offered in 12 kg industrial cartons for use in food production and confectionery. International sales are another part of the business. Its sister company, Dombaz Food GmbH, operates in Siegen, Germany, where the group has been developing its European sales operation and customer relationships since 2020.
