About Dorna
Dorna is an Iranian brand of packaged cakes and other sweet foods. Its business roots go back to 1965, when the founding family began making cakes in Tehran under the Rasoulovi name. The Dorna brand emerged later as the business expanded and Biscolarge was established. The 1965 date therefore describes the origins of the business, rather than a verified launch date for the Dorna brand itself.
Dorna’s range has grown beyond cakes and cookies. It includes layered cakes, cupcakes, biscuits, wafers, cookies, traditional-style packaged pastries, cake mixes and pancake mixes. Chocolate products also form part of the wider group’s portfolio. The range spans several packaged snack and confectionery categories, while ingredients, pack sizes and nutritional details remain specific to each product.
Biscolarge is one of the manufacturing businesses associated with Dorna on the Tehran–Karaj corridor. Dornaye Benis joined the group’s production structure in 2012 near Sufian, Tabriz, with a focus on products including cookies, biscuits and packaged pastries. These facilities support different parts of the brand’s product range.
Sales and distribution are organised through Arike Dorna and a network of sales branches and agents across Iran. Distinguishing the Dorna brand from its manufacturers and distribution business gives consumers, retailers and prospective partners a clearer picture of the group and the right point of contact.
