Galaxy is an Iranian canned food brand associated with WEM. Its tuna production began in 2018, establishing the brand in the canned seafood category. The range also includes tomato paste and canned pinto beans, extending Galaxy’s offering across several pantry staples.

The tuna portfolio includes tuna in vegetable oil, chilli, dill and smoked varieties, and tuna in olive oil. The brand identifies yellowfin or longtail tuna as the fish used in this range. Its other canned products include tomato paste, pinto beans in tomato sauce, and pinto beans with mushrooms in tomato sauce.

Galaxy’s commercial background is connected to WEM’s food trading and distribution operations. WEM established its Tehran direct-distribution company, Laleh Sorkh Mihan, in 2017, before beginning Galaxy tuna production the following year. This background places the brand within a business structure spanning food supply, sales and distribution.

Galaxy’s range brings together three distinct uses under one brand: canned tuna as a protein product, canned beans as a prepared food, and tomato paste as a cooking ingredient. For wholesalers and distributors, this creates a broader canned-food offering, while flavour variations remain a defining feature of the tuna range.
