About Bartar

Bartar is an Iranian packaged and processed food brand whose production activities began in 1996 under Navidkaran Production Cooperative Co., established two years earlier in 1994. The business initially focused on processing and packaging dry food staples and subsequently expanded into a much broader manufacturing operation, developing Bartar from a packaging-led business into a diversified food brand spanning numerous consumer categories.

Today, Bartar operates across an unusually broad food portfolio. Its range extends from pulses, grains, flours, spices and seasonings, nuts, seeds and dried vegetables to pickles, preserved cucumbers, olives, jams, tomato and pomegranate pastes, kashk and a variety of canned foods. Current Gulfood listings also document Bartar across categories including spices and seasonings, nuts, dried vegetables, flours and grains, jams, pickles, canned products and pastes. As a result, the brand's identity is built less around ownership of a single food category and more around bringing a wide spectrum of everyday pantry products under one consumer brand.

Bartar's manufacturing structure is organised around two facilities in Parandak Industrial City. The first plant focuses primarily on dry, granular and powdered products, including categories such as pulses, spices, dried foods and flours, while the second was developed for more extensively processed products including canned foods, pickles, jams and syrups. This separation is significant because the two sides of the portfolio involve fundamentally different processing technologies, quality-control systems and food-safety requirements. Navidkaran's chief executive has similarly described these two manufacturing streams as distinct parts of the company's operating model.

From a manufacturing perspective, Bartar's defining challenge is not simply the size of its portfolio but the complexity of managing quality across categories built on very different production principles. Dry foods depend heavily on agricultural raw-material consistency, sorting, moisture management, physical-contaminant control and packaging performance, while products such as pickles, jams, pastes and canned foods require control of acidity, thermal processing, texture, sealing integrity and microbiological stability. As a single brand expands across such technically different categories, portfolio coherence increasingly depends on its ability to deliver predictable quality across multiple manufacturing systems rather than merely on the number of products it offers.
