About Behrang
Behrang is an Iranian saffron brand established in 2005 through Navid Saffron Khorasan Razavi Co. in Mashhad. The company was created to process, pack and develop markets for Iranian saffron, initially building its activities around saffron sourced from the Khorasan region. Over time, investment in processing, packaging and international market development became central to the brand's commercial model.
Behrang's core portfolio spans major Iranian saffron grades and formats, including Sargol, Negin and Pushal, offered across pack sizes designed for household use, gifting, retail and wholesale applications. Packaging families such as Azin, Khatam, Venus, gift packs and vacuum capsules sit alongside larger formats ranging from 25 grams to several hundred grams. This structure makes packaging more than a presentation element: it allows the brand to address distinctly different consumption, gifting and export requirements within the same saffron portfolio.
Processing and packaging are carried out through Navid Saffron Khorasan Razavi's operations in Toos Industrial Estate, Mashhad. Behrang has a documented history of international trade, with recent customs data continuing to identify the company as a saffron exporter. Larger-volume packs and export-oriented formats form an important part of the portfolio alongside consumer products.
From a manufacturing and quality perspective, saffron presents a different challenge from a highly standardised industrial ingredient. Growing region, harvest conditions, drying practices, grading and storage can influence colour strength, aroma and flavour from one lot to another, while exposure to light, air and moisture can gradually degrade key quality characteristics. For a brand serving both consumer and export markets, maintaining lot-to-lot consistency and designing packaging that protects the product throughout storage and distribution are therefore central to turning a naturally variable agricultural commodity into a predictable branded product.
