About Delpazir
Delpazir is a long-established Iranian food brand whose origins date back to 1949. Its manufacturer, Kadbanoo Co., initially operated near Karaj with a limited range of jams and canned fruits. Over the following decades, the business evolved substantially, expanding first into canned foods and later into sauces and condiments. The introduction of mayonnaise production in 1995 marked an important stage in this transition, followed by the development of salad dressings, ketchup and a wider range of sauces that became central to the Delpazir portfolio.
Today, Delpazir's portfolio extends beyond mayonnaise, ketchup and salad dressings to include canned foods, tomato paste and passata, pickled products, cooking bases, spices and foodservice formats. This expansion has transformed the brand from a relatively specialised canned-food producer into a diversified processed-food business serving several product categories and consumption occasions.
A major phase of Delpazir's industrial development came with the establishment of Kadbanoo's new production complex in Alborz Province. The site, covering more than 120,000 square metres, incorporates production and packaging operations for mayonnaise, ketchup, salad dressings and canned foods, alongside in-house plastic container manufacturing. The facility became operational in 2013 and today forms a central part of the company's manufacturing infrastructure.
From an industry perspective, the breadth of Delpazir's portfolio creates a more complex challenge than product variety alone. Mayonnaise requires control of emulsion and texture, sauces depend heavily on flavour and process consistency, while canned foods rely on tightly managed thermal processing and shelf stability. Maintaining a coherent brand experience across categories with such different manufacturing requirements is therefore an important part of managing Delpazir's portfolio at scale.
