In 1950, Mr. Seyed Mohammad Gerami established a tea trading house to achieve goals such as the production, import, packaging, and distribution of tea. After a few years, on November 22, 1961, the tea trading house was registered as a private joint stock company named Golestan Company.
In the 1950s, Golestan Company started tea production and packaging and gradually expanded its products. In the 1960s, this company introduced tea packaging automation as Iran’s first tea packaging and distribution company. Then, over time and with increased production, Golestan introduced several brands to the market, including Golestan, Pardis, Hotikara, Golgis, and Twinings.
2014 Golestan utilized world-class technology and implemented the SAP system in its various managerial processes. This advanced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system has significantly improved the efficiency and quality of Golestan’s various processes.
Mr. Seyed Mohammad Gerami, the founder and main owner of this company, had a reputation for entrepreneurship and enterprise. He was born in 1927 and gained extensive experience in the field of trade by entering the labor market at the age of 15. He took over the ownership and management of Golestan Tea Company in the 1990s. After Mr. Gerami passed away in October 2009, his family took over the management of his companies and continued his professional legacy.
