Initially, Lipton was only involved in tea packaging. But in 1898, it reached the pinnacle of success, as the Queen of England conferred the title of knighthood upon him. Using advertising and marketing techniques, Thomas Lipton transformed tea from an aristocratic beverage to a public and common drink. Lipton is the first official seller of tea bags globally. At this time, Thomas Lipton began purchasing products from tea farms in Sri Lanka, Kenya, India, and China. In 1991, Lipton started its partnership with PepsiCo. Thus, Pepsi Lipton entered the world of trade. With the expansion and diversification of Lipton’s products, this company became even more well-known. Lipton products are sold in 150 countries worldwide and have authorized representatives in 110 countries. Lipton also has an official and assigned representative in Iran. Unilever and PepsiCo own the brand; the current owner is Mr. Ekaterra.
