Roshd

Roshd is an Iranian food brand whose range includes pasta, baking mixes and dessert ingredients. Its origins date back to 1979 in Yazd, where the business began producing pasta under the Azad Macaroon name. Over time, it expanded into cake mixes and other food products, developing a portfolio that extends beyond its original pasta business.

Cake mixes are a core part of the Roshd range. The introduction of a cake-mix production line in 1996 marked a significant step in the business’s development. The range now includes vanilla, chocolate and fruit-flavoured cake mixes, alongside mixes for pancakes, brownies and cookies. These packaged blends bring together ingredients for part of the preparation process, with consumers completing the recipe at home.

Roshd also offers jelly powders in a variety of flavours, as well as whipping cream powder, pizza dough mix and selected packaged flours. Together, these products provide ingredients for cakes, desserts and some home-cooked dishes, complementing the brand’s broader range of flour-based foods.

Pasta and noodles remain part of Roshd’s portfolio. Products include spaghetti, shaped pasta, vermicelli and reshteh ash, the noodles used in traditional Iranian soups. The range also features partially prepared pasta dishes in combinations such as mushroom and cheese or tomato and basil. Across its portfolio, Roshd serves two main areas of home food preparation: baking and dessert-making, and everyday meals.
