Tabarok

Tabarok is an Iranian food and agribusiness brand and industrial group whose operations developed from 1998 in Mashhad, with Shahdab Nab Khorasan forming the original manufacturing core of the business. The group was founded by Alireza Boustani and initially focused on tomato processing and tomato-paste production. Over time, the expansion of manufacturing, agricultural, packaging and distribution activities transformed Tabarok from a tomato-processing operation into a diversified food and agribusiness group.

Tomato paste remains one of the products most closely associated with the Tabarok name, although the group's current portfolio extends considerably further. Its official website lists categories including tomato paste, sauces, jams, pickles, canned foods and compotes, edible oils, soy products, vinegar, flour-based foods, pizza cheese, dairy products, packaged water and selected cellulose products. Manufacturing is distributed across several companies and operating units within the group, with the Tabarok name used across parts of this wider portfolio.

The group's historical manufacturing base is located in Ferdowsi Industrial Town in Mashhad, where Shahdab Nab Khorasan remains one of its key food-production companies. Tabarok's operating structure has progressively expanded across agriculture, raw-material sourcing, food processing, packaging and distribution. The group currently reports 17 operating businesses and a broad agricultural supply network, while its products also have a documented history of international-market activity.

From an industrial perspective, Tabarok's defining characteristic is not simply portfolio breadth but the connection between agricultural sourcing and food processing. In tomato-paste production, raw-material quality, the time between harvesting and processing, soluble-solids content, concentration and thermal treatment all influence yield and finished-product performance. Once the same industrial group also operates across sauces, canned foods, oils, soy and dairy categories, quality management is no longer built around a single processing technology. Coordinating agricultural inputs, different manufacturing systems and multiple operating companies is therefore a central part of Tabarok's industrial complexity.
