With Iranians’ increased consumption of manufactured goods, entrepreneurs from the 1970s gradually began establishing small workshops and factories to produce various sauces, seasonings, and other additives. Behrouz Factory was one of these small workshops, established in 1977 by “Behrouz Foroutan.” Foroutan started the business with his family members and wife and successfully provided quality products despite competition. He eventually established a large factory to produce and distribute various sauces, tomato paste, seasonings, and other additives.

As one of the most successful Iranian entrepreneurs, Foroutan teaches at many seminars and gives speeches at various conferences for young managers and investors. By 1990, he had created over 1,500 jobs through his food factory, and in the same year, a book was written based on his management method to be used by students and entrepreneurs.

The vision of the Behrouz brand, as one of the best-known brands for producing sauces, seasonings, and food additives, according to the official website of this holding, is to play a fundamental role in food industry research in Iran. Although Mr. Behrouz Foroutan no longer runs this complex, and it’s been a few years since it was transferred, the overall framework of the complex follows the same old principles. The Behrouz complex strives to play a fundamental role in the healthy diet of Iranians by producing the best quality products and exporting them to more countries. Hence, the holding intends to have a stronger presence in Iranian food industry research.

Behrouz Foroutan, as the factory owner and the Behrouz brand, is currently a colleague at the Iranian National Standards Organization and serves as a senior advisor to the Ministry of Industry and Mine, a member of the Labor and Social Ethics Commission of the Iran Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the country’s Food Industry Council, sharing his experiences with others.

Other honor plaques such as the TUV, EFQM, ISO 9001, and ISO 2000 are among other awards for this complex, in addition to all of which the FDA approval, or approval from the US Food and Drug Administration, should also be mentioned, as the Behrouz brand is the first and currently the only Iranian food brand to have received this approval.
