Behshahr Industrial

Behshahr Industrial Company is the largest and oldest producer of edible vegetable oils in Iran. This company was established in 1951 and has gradually developed and modernized its infrastructure and production facilities in line with increasing demand in domestic and foreign markets. In 1969, the company’s production capacity increased from 170 tons to 250 tons per day, then in 1977 reached 400 tons per day. After Behshahr Industrial Company and Margarine Company joined Savola Company, a company called “Savola Behshahr” was established. With the implementation of its third development and modernization plan in recent years, this company has produced up to 1,200 tons of edible vegetable oil per day. This production rate supplies about 40% of the total edible oil market for household and industrial uses. Currently, the company’s products are produced and offered under the brand names “Ladan, Golden Ladan, Bahar, Nesteren, Tard Sorkh, Shahpasand, Aafiat, Minola, and Maral”.

Certificates

Behshahr Industrial Company 1996 received the ISO 9002 quality management certificate and, in 2003, the ISO 14001 environmental management and OHSAS 18001 certificates. Also, in 2003, it obtained the ISO 9001 quality management certificate. In 2002, as the first food manufacturing factory in Iran, it had the honor of receiving a quality certificate for all its products from the Swiss company SGS. In 2003, the Institute of Standards and Industrial Research selected Behshahr Industrial Company as the country’s exemplary production and export unit. The “Ladan” brand was selected as the outstanding brand name in the edible oil industry of Iran in 2008.
