The Bijan brand is one of Iran’s oldest holding companies for food production and various seasonings. It was founded by a person named “Bijan Mohajerin” in 1969. In the early years of its establishment, the Bijan complex only produced mayonnaise. It became one of the oldest mayonnaise production and distribution factories in Iran. After years of Bijan Food Industries entrepreneurship and management, Bijan Mohajerin passed away in 2022. He studied in the United States and then returned to Iran. He entered the food seasoning production industry and started his work with mayonnaise production.
This large factory, which is one of the main food industry holdings in Iran today, was only a small 30-square-meter workshop in Yousefabad, Tehran, in the 1960s and early days of its establishment, transformed into the company we see today through quality products, Bijan Mohajerin’s perseverance and its initial capital.
In the 1970s, Bijan’s workshop gradually expanded. Now, in addition to sauce, it also mass-produced bottled pickles. After a while, mass production of tomato paste started, which could be a revolution in Iran’s food industry. Until then, Iranians mostly prepared these products at home. But now, the Bijan factory had provided the conditions so that, without difficulty and regardless of the season, various types of tomato paste and pickles were ready to be purchased and consumed. Bijan Food Industries’ production factory is one of the largest companies producing and distributing various food seasonings and additives, which are also exported to other countries.
The Bijan brand has shown that in recent years, it has been able to produce and supply the best quality products to people’s tables based on Iranians’ taste and palette. This holding has successfully competed with domestic competitors and has had an active presence in the global market. Thus, even compared to various foreign sauces and additives, it has been a successful product of choice for the people.
