Every Iranian remembers Minoo from their childhood. Founded in 1959, Minoo was one of Iran’s first biscuit and wafer producers. With quality products, lovely packaging, and cheerful, unique colors, it became the beloved snack of at least four generations of Iranian children. The Minoo Group is one of the top 100 Iranian brands and most successful food companies, established in 1959 by Ali Khosroshahi. He named his newly formed company after his daughter, Minoo. Today, the large and successful Minoo Holding is a leading manufacturer of various biscuits, chocolates, and snacks in Iran.
Mr. Khosroshahi managed the factory with his brother Hassan Khosroshahi until 1978, when it was transferred to the National Industries Organization. Now, the company has 12 independent subsidiaries. In the 1970s, Minoo started producing biscuits and grew into one of the largest food factories in Iran. The famous Pam Pam cake, a spongy chocolate cake, soon followed.
Focusing on its goals and vision, the Minoo brand seeks to increase production capacity and meet market demands. Strengthening its presence on Iranian dinner tables is also a priority, which can be accomplished by providing diverse, high-quality products. In addition to biscuits, wafers, and Pam Pam cakes, one of Minoo’s first products was Toffee chocolate, marketed as 3-star Butter Toffee chocolate. Next came the chewing gum line Chic Gum, with its various flavors and green and yellow packaging that many Iranians remember. Inspired by foreign exhibitions and new flavors, Mr. Khosroshahi soon started producing Cheese puffs, becoming famous for red-packaged Minoo salty puffs.
