Nestle

Nestlé is a Swiss international food, beverage and nutrition brand whose name traces back to Henri Nestlé's work in Vevey, Switzerland, in 1867. The wider corporate history began in 1866 with the Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company, while the 1905 merger of Henri Nestlé's company and Anglo-Swiss created the corporate predecessor of today's Nestlé Group.

Nestlé established its organized corporate presence in Iran in the 1990s. Nestlé S.A. received its investment authorization on 27 July 1994, and Nestlé Iran was officially registered on 28 February 1995. The local operating entity, Nestlé Iran P.J.S. Co., is a private joint-stock company. Nestlé Group's 2025 financial statements continue to list Nestlé Iran as a Group company with a 95.9% ultimate capital shareholding.

Nestlé Iran established its first production facility in Qazvin Province in 2001. Local production began with CERELAC infant cereal in 2002 and was later expanded across selected nutrition, cocoa and coffee products, including brands such as NAN, GUIGOZ, NESQUIK and NESCAFÉ. The Qazvin operation has subsequently undergone further investment and manufacturing expansion, and the production facility remains operational.

Nestlé's activities in Iran have included infant and child nutrition, coffee and instant beverages, specialized nutrition and, historically, culinary products and bottled water. The current Nestlé Iran coffee portfolio includes several NESCAFÉ formats, while the company's historical manufacturing footprint has evolved over time in response to changes in its local portfolio.
